Filipinos have different kinds of bread which can eat in any time of the day, especially in afternoon and we call it merienda , and we also have breads which serve as our breakfast every morning.

Monay Bread

Monay is known as the mother of all Filipino breads.You can add whatever kind of filling youwant such as peanut butter, strawberry jam, coco jam and many more. You can also enjoy eating it by dipping it in our coffee or hot choco in the morning. Grandparents and kids will surely enjoy it.

Kababayan Bread

Kababayan is a bread shaped like sa “Salakot” or pinoy native hat. It can be seen in every bakery in the Philippines. It is cheaper and more common to any other Filipino breads.

Putok Bread

Putok bread is also known as Star bread. It has sugar on top of it and it is has trademark crack on top, which looks like it has exploded. It is the favorite snack of some Filipinos and it is made without any food coloring. It is best to eat when it is fresh from the oven and just like the other breads you can also dip it to your hoy coffee or hot choco.





Filipinos are truly amazing when it comes to baking different kinds of bread and we really love to eat it. It is the alternative for rice because it also contains carbohydrates which needs of our body. You can see all these breads in different bakeries in the Philippines.
